1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the NWU Registrar Certification & Verification Services platform, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

This platform is available to current students, alumni, and authorised third parties (employers, institutions, embassies) of North-West University.

3. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
• You must provide accurate and truthful information in all requests.
• You must not share your account with others or attempt to access other accounts.

4. Prohibited Activities

• Submitting fraudulent or misleading requests
• Attempting to forge, alter, or tamper with documents
• Circumventing security measures or verification systems
• Using the platform for any unlawful purpose

5. Document Authenticity

All documents issued through this platform contain digital verification features including QR codes, document hashes, and verification tokens. Any attempt to alter issued documents is a criminal offence.

6. Service Level

NWU endeavours to process requests within published SLA timeframes. However, we do not guarantee specific turnaround times and shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

NWU shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of this platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid (if any) for the specific service in question.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the North West Province.
